Dear MGM participants,

please read through the instructions on how to use BigBlueButton for our Transnational Project Meeting.

BigBlueButton runs entirely in a Browser environment, so you can use any digital device, such as a PC, a laptop, a tablet or a smartphone, with a modern Browser, such as Firefox or Chrome. Since we want to talk, your device should support the usage of a microphone and a webcam.

Step 1: Clicking The Link And Login

Click this link. A browser page with a login mask will open:

Please enter your first and last name and the name of your organisation, so that we know who we are talking to. This also supports our documentation efforts.

After the login, a new window will appear. Here you can activate your microphone. Since you are using a browser, your browser might ask you if you really want to activiate for microphone (for security purposes).

You are finally logged in, when you see this user interface:

Step 2: Participating

BigBlueButton has a simple layout: On the left side, you find the user overview. This is where you can also find the public chat. On the right side of the screen, you see the presentation area. Here, you find the presentations, screen-sharing content and the webcam transmissions.

By clicking on the microphone button in the bottom section, you can mute yourself.

By clicking on the webcam button, you can activate your webcam (your browser will probably ask for your permission again).
